Gateway to Industry Schools Program Expanded

The Gateway to Industry Schools Program will receive an $8.48 million boost to expand its reach, equipping students with essential skills for Queensland’s priority industries.

New to the program are Agribusiness, Tourism and Hospitality, and Advanced Manufacturing, complementing existing streams. Last year, the program engaged 45,000 students across 372 schools, fostering pathways into high-demand fields.

Minister for Employment and Training Ros Bates highlighted the program’s importance in building a skilled future workforce through collaborations between schools and businesses.

Running until January 2028, the expanded initiative will be delivered by 10 providers, including three new ones, ensuring broader access and opportunities for Queensland students.
