Grant Application Aims to Empower Women in Technology Careers

RDA Ipswich & West Moreton, in collaboration with the Springfield Regional Jobs Committee, is applying for the Building Women’s Careers Grant to launch a groundbreaking initiative aimed at supporting women in advanced manufacturing and technology across regional Queensland.

If successful, the grant will help kickstart programs designed to open pathways for women into roles in Smart Solutions, Remote Monitoring, AI, and Engineering. Industry leader Komatsu Wacol has already pledged its support, with Workshop Supervisor Jason O’Halloran offering a tour of their cutting-edge innovation hub.

Komatsu’s 3,500-strong Australian workforce demonstrates the potential for growth and career opportunities in these high-tech industries. This initiative could become a vital driver for gender diversity and economic development in the region.
