Lockyer Valley Secures Funding for Growth and Development

The Lockyer Valley is set for major growth, with regional projects and grant opportunities paving the way for future development. Mid February, RDA Ipswich & West Moreton met with Lockyer Valley Regional Council’s Economic Development Team to discussed key initiatives, including road and bridge upgrades and township revitalisation projects already underway.

A major milestone is the Grantham Structure Plan, which will help shape future land use, improve infrastructure connections, and accelerate residential land releases in the Grantham Reconstruction Area.

This initiative is backed by a $350,000 Housing Support Program – Stream 1 grant, part of the Australian Government’s $1.5 billion Housing Support Program, aimed at delivering 1.2 million well-located homes over five years from 1 July 2024.

With strong investment and planning, the Lockyer Valley is on track for an exciting future of growth and opportunity. For more information on the Grantham Structure Plan, visit https://www.lockyervalley.qld.gov.au/our-services/strategic-planning/projects
