Queensland Small Businesses in Focus

With 482,836 small and family businesses making up 97.1% of all businesses in Queensland, their role in the economy is undeniable. Of these, 62.1% are non-employing businesses, highlighting the diverse landscape of entrepreneurship across the state.

In February, Rees and Bri met Dominique Lamb, Queensland’s Small Business Commissioner, who leads a dedicated team supporting small businesses. They travel across the state, discussing business life cycles, industry outlooks, dispute resolution, and the red tape affecting operations.
