Supporting Growth in the Scenic Rim

This month Rees and Bri visited the Scenic Rim Region, engaging with key stakeholders and discussing initiatives to support local growth.

The day began with a productive meeting at Scenic Rim Regional Council, focusing on regional projects, the IWM Jobs Portal, and available grants to drive economic development.

Next, the team visited Tamborine Mountain, where they met with Mick Angus, President of the Tamborine Mountain Sports Association, to explore opportunities through the Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program and discuss precinct development and planning support.

The day concluded at Eagle Heights Hotel Mountain Resort, where Rees delivered a presentation to the Tamborine Mountain Chamber of Commerce. Local business owners gained valuable insights into how RDA Ipswich & West Moreton supports small businesses and regional communities.

With strong engagement and collaboration, the visit reinforced the commitment to fostering economic growth and supporting the vibrant communities of the Scenic Rim.
