Thousands of New Housing Lots to be Unlocked in Ripley Valley

The State Government has unveiled plans to unlock over 9,100 new housing lots in the Ripley Valley Priority Development Area (PDA), facilitated by two key infrastructure agreements.

Economic Development Queensland (EDQ) has secured $27.5 million in loan funding from the state government, aimed at boosting economic growth and enhancing infrastructure in Ripley. A major $24 million agreement with Ipswich City Council will facilitate the construction of a four-lane upgrade on Ripley Road between Cunningham Highway and Monterea Road, unlocking an estimated 4,600 lots.

Additionally, a $3.5 million agreement with developers Stockland and Moremac will finance trunk sewer works in the south-west precinct of the PDA, unlocking an estimated 4,500 lots. This investment will support $39.3 million in new infrastructure, generating an estimated $851.4 million in civil construction and almost $2.5 billion in housing construction in Ripley Valley, along with over 585 direct and indirect construction jobs through to 2051.
